About Me

After earning her MBBS from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), Dr Al Bastaki completed her residency program "Facharzt" in Visceral Surgery in Solingen, Germany. She then underwent a one-year Fellowship in Colorectal Surgery in the main Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Leverkusen hospital. This was followed by a 2-year fellowship program in colorectal Surgery in Guy’s and St Thomas hospital in London. Dr Al Bastaki is highly specialised in colorectal surgery with expertise in advanced minimal invasive Surgery for oncological and none oncologic cases, TAMIS and TaTme, and complex hernia repairs that involved compartments separation. She introduced a minimally invasive technique for Fistulas and Pilonodial sinuses for the first time in Abu Dhabi.
